Garden Plants

My Garden Plants

My daughter recently sent me a great article about plant taxonomy. Being a botanist she is very conversant in naming plants by their Latin names which usually includes the family, genus and species. Since I began volunteering at the Rogerson Clematis Garden I have been  surrounded by folks who speak of every plant by their full Latin names.

In order to educate myself I decided to begin by identifying, in Latin, all the plants growing in my current yard. By making it a sort of quiz I will hopefully, over time, learn all their names. You can do the same.
