Amy was born in Portland, OR to Mark and Susie Leavitt.  Shortly after her birth, they took her home to their house in Sunnyvale, CA where Mark worked at that time.

A year later however they all moved to Miami, FL where Mark began medical school at the University of Miami.  After two years there, they returned to Oregon and settled down in Portland so Amy would be near her grandparents and her extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was adored by all the family.    

Amy graduated from Sunset High School in Portland, OR, then attended Oregon State University in Corvallis majoring in Speech Communications. She was a member of Delta Gamma sorority which gave her a whole new group of “sisters”. 

After graduation, Amy enjoyed working first at Nike, then for the Seattle Sonics NBA team. As the economy shifted, she moved from sports to technology marketing, working for Tektronix in Beaverton. In 2009 she moved to Los Angeles.  In 2018 Amy bought her first home in CA and has become quite proficient at home repairs with a little Zoom-help from her Dad.
